The Newcastle Cycle Campaign is a non-profit community group that campaigns for better cycling provisions in Newcastle and the surrounding areas.
If you don't know about us then you can read the speil here:
http://www.newcycling.org/about-us
I've been a member for a few years and I think we're starting to see some genuine improvements in the attitudes to cycling here.
Most recently we've helped secure the Cycle City Ambition Funds, we've got 67% of city councilors signed up to the space4cycling goals more than any other region, and we've just held our second 200-strong space4cycling mass ride through the city centre, and this one was led by the leader of the city council.
Right now we have a great chance to grow the campaign with a bit of extra funds because The Cabinet Office is doubling every donation (up to a tenner) made to the campaign.
So in the unlikely event you have a spare tenner (or less) kicking about please consider donating it to the campaign to help us improve cycling in Newcastle:

If you don't fancy that, but like the sound of the campaign, then please consider joining. It is entirely free.

Cheers, but they never seem that interested in reporting cycle campaigning stuff here. I guess maybe it's a bit too "road" for the target market? Which is fair enough.
Worth a pop though.
