Any good wines?

Some good, some not so good. https://www.wine.ba.com/apps/merchandise/#/categories/7 Lots of niceness to be found! I tend to buy the "Gold-Medal Bordeaux Dozen" if I know we're going to be entertaining. Never been let down so far. I also have a stock of Laurent Perrier Cuvée Rosé, as one should never be without some nice quaffing fizz!

Is it good value?

That rather depends....! If you don't need the Avioses (Avii?) then yes, excellent value. For example, I have way too many of them, and because of the annoying way my work travel gets booked, I can't use them for upgrades. So, I earn them far faster than I can spend them. As a result, why not treat myself to some booze?

I can't use them for upgrades.

But surely the only way up for you would be the Lear Jet

I worked out a while ago just how much wine my half million plus miles would get me, I could get pissed enough not to worry about the quality was my conclusion.

I actually think they are better used for wine or hotel rooms than flights, you still pay all the taxes and have limited choice on flights so often you are not saving huge amounts over going with a budget airline.

😀

Other place I use them is to upgrade holiday flights. Pay for WT+, splash the Avios and travel Club.
