Who have you used, have they served you well, and are you a fussy sort?

I got my first pair from Specsavers (always had great service at my local) around March this year, and then a month later got another frame reglazed by Reglaze Glasses Direct (the artist formerly known as Ciliary Blue). However the first set of lenses were way off; they replaced those, and the second set were still off—less dramatically so, but still not usable. In the end we settled on a refund and "maybe you just don't get on with our lenses", which seemed odd, but hey ho. (I've been fine with numerous single-vision lenses from them in the past.)

I've since had a second pair done by Specsavers (I didn't get on with the sunnies I originally bought, so they did me a new pair as reactions—like I say, great service) and they're fine. But Specsavers don't do easy-clean coatings, meaning I'm cleaning my bins every day at least, whereas with better coatings I can go maybe a week before needing to get the wipes out.

So who have you had good service from, and what did you give them to ensure that the result was spot-on? (I gave RGD a carefully shot photo, marked up and measured, to position my pupil in the frame—they said I didn't need to send in my existing glasses, which use the same frame and would therefore be exactly what I want bar the coatings.)

Obviously whoever you recommend must have a money-back satisfaction guarantee 😐

Personally, and being a multiple user of Ciliary Glasses Direct for single vision riding specs, I wouldn't buy varifocals online. Their inherent finickitiness (I too have had to get a lens reground as it wasn't right)
means I want somewhere I can just go in and get it sorted.
