So a friend is looking for a lwb Vito/tragic/vivaro about £10k. She's based Scottish borders but is struggling to find commercial vehicle sales within 100miles.
She just needs pointed at places that she can view a number of vans. My help was only really vw.
Standard panel van? If so there are plenty on Autotrader
No, sorry, looking for a crew cab or equivalent. I suggested a panel which could be done to her spec but too much for family to cope with.
They're often really overpriced IMO. Traders seem to have clocked that buyers are usually getting finance and only interested in the per month cost.
I've decided to keep my Vivaro now but I was leaning toward buying new on interest free rather than line a trader's pockets.
autotrader or gumtree are your friends - doesnt need to be specific commercial vehicle sales.
We bought ours from a regular Hendys renault dealer . (13plate vivaro crewcab LWB).
oh yead a panel conversion is loads of work. a crew is a much better base for camper. minibus better but you have windows in the back but the bonus of a tailgate which is good for hiding from the rain.

Add eBay to that list (id actually put it ahead of the other two)

What kinda price and mileage if I may ask?
There's a second hand VW van dealer in Roslin, just South of Edinburgh. They seem to have a few other makes on the forecourt too
I'm in the Borders and have just bought one.
Roughly bugger all in my (much lower) price range in the area, seemed to be a wider choice in either Glasgow or Newcastle, not a lot in Edinburgh. Pick a few she likes the look of and try to see three or four in one trip, last chance of a wasted journey if one is rubbish.
Ended up getting mine in a private (well, from a company but not a dealer) sale in Dunfermline, found it on the Gumtree.
Millennium motors in Musselburgh is where I got my last van. Good price, easy to deal with, van in good condition. It was recommended by somebody and based on my experience I'd have no hesitation going back. If they don't have what she's after give them a call and see if they can find one.

9K i think. 60k milage. really tidy condition Not the cheapest we could get but we liked the dealer backup we could walk into and moan at and they replaced a load of mechanical stuff prior to purchase and gave us a bit of a warrenty
My Vivaro came from the Auctions. It had low miles and was in clean condition so I bought it. Only thing is its make your mind up time and go for it. There could be vat to pay so factor that in along with commission but it will still end up cheaper than the dealers.
I paid 12.5k for my car from the auctions and never even sat in it.
Does she want to go and look at a few with a view to buying or just to get a better feel for them and test drive one etc? If the latter then just find the nearest main van dealer for fiat/renault/etc and head down.
If buying then it could be an option to head to one place and look at a few but crew cabs aren't that common compared to panel vans so finding a number in one spot will be rare.
Yeah she's looked at a few, needs a crew cab and is pretty much looking for the impossible. Crew cab, tailgate, low mileage and cheap. Pointed her at a few.
