been looking out for micky flanagan tickets at hull tonight.  finally found a couple, went to buy, but had to leave them because of the following warning.  it implies that only the person named on the original tickets would be able to get in, with the corresponding ID, no name changes.  looking back i may have misread it when it actually means the person buying the ticket from twickets, but i just didnt dare take the chance at the time.

have i been daft?

I think this is to prove that the person purchasing the tickets from twickets hasn't then sold them on at a profit. If that makes sense- because you're basically paying face value through twickets, if you were unscrupulous you could onsell them at a profit.

I bought a festival ticket from twickets which had someone else's name on but it wasn't an issue. But it was a small fest and they weren't checking IDs alongside tickets.

well im pleased to report it all went swimmingly.  took my ID but wasnt needed, they just scanned the barcode on the tickets.

tickets were phone only so id been on live chat and asked about problems with a lack of signal maybe but was assured that theyd still be available to see in the app if offline.

concert was also 'phone-free' which was an excellent idea.  everyones phone had to go in a little locked pouch (that you kept with you) and then unlocked on leaving.  as well as preventing people filming, it also meant nobody was glued to their phones all night and people were actually talking to each other 😀

oh and micky was on top form.  of course he was!
