I presume if you don't use gift that you are covered the same as buying in the UK? Any advice appreciated 🙂

This is private not through eBay. Their website doesn't make it that clear to be honest.

Does the vendor have a decent track record? There's a guy in the Czech Republic that sells CDIs for motorbikes and everyone on the motorcycle forums knows him for example.

Last month I sat on a plane next to a Serb guy who saw my bike mag and started talking about his mate who sells bikes stolen in Europe.

Just sayin', like.

I don't think it's stolen as he has the receipt etc. I'm just worried if it doesn't match the description will pp cover me? The guy seems well educated and polite so I don't think any foul play is happening.

He could always Email you a pic of the receipt first. A quick google of the shop it's from would allay your fears/arouse your suspicions.

I spend a bit of time around Eastern Europe. I live in Vienna part of the year which is virtually Eastern Europe. Czech is 1 hour. Slovakia is 1 hour. Poland is not soo far. Slovenia is 3 hours. Croatia then is again not so far.
In all the time I've driven around I have never had the thought that Eastern Europeans just want to steal.
Serbian guy had a mate who sells stolen bikes? Manchester guy has friends who sell stollen bikes too.
