Looking at getting a wingsurf hydrofoil from https://sabfoil.com/en and the setup comes to 2700Euro, approx £2300 including VAT in italy. What's the likely sting on this with all this import duty etc? The closest I've found on the gov website is seagoing person carrying hydro foil (which technically it is!).
Or am I best bunging a mate in Portugal the dosh, he can buy it, use it, then ship it to me as a gift with an invoice for second hand foil at a lower price?
Or order it and get it delivered to him and fly over to pick it up, have a quick holiday and come back?

No idea about import stuff, but I'm curious why you settled on that one?
I've got a slingshot infinity 76 and 65, connection to the fuselage is poor. New carbon slingshot is £2500 with one wing and fuse, SAB slightly cheaper for two wings and two fuselages.
SAB seem very good from what I've heard, Armstrong foils great for wing/surf but don't do a decent windsurf setup
The only problem is I've got a slingshot 125 which had medium Tuttle box, and everyone seems now to be going to double tracks. Unsure whether to modify the board or sell on and get something different and a separate wing foiling board.
Do you windsurf and foil Twodogs?
I do. Thinking about wingfoiling but struggle to figure out which I'd do when, if you see what I mean. Windsurfing and windfoiling go well together...lighter wind i go foiling, more wind (or waves) I windsurf. But the overlap between wingfoil and windfoiling seems almost 100%.
Those prices do seem very good. I also keep looking at the slingshot stuff....
I'm a bit of a Naish fanboy and like the look of the Naish Hover stuff
