Hi. I am buying a brand new 'upgrade' iphone 4 from someone that is locked to Orange. I have an O2 contract with a regular size sim card and I wondered:
# How do I go about unlocking the phone, can it be done without an Orange sim in it?
# Can I just contact O2 and ask them to replace my regular size sim with a mirco sim that will fit in the iphone 4?
# Would the 'upgrade' I am buying be registered in that persons name and would it cause any problems in the future?
Thanks
Assuming they're on contract, ask them to ask orange to unlock it. They'll probably do it for free.
Probably, or you can cut down the one you have.
Apple kit has worldwide transferrable warranty with apple, I *think* this applies to the phones too.
I realise that's a bunch of uncertain answers, but really you know how to get the definitive answers yourself!
1. Call orange
2. Call O2.
3. Call Apple.
It's a good starter, thanks for the help. Does anyone know any more?
