Had my trusty Micra k11 1.0 Tempest written off a couple of weeks ago, insurance paid out £975.
I then decide to go for something with a bit more oomph and spot a Micra k11 1.4s on ebay, buy it now £795. Looked nice in the pics and only 2 hours drive away, what could possibly go wrong, well i tell you nothing, it is mint, obviously has never been parked on a supermarket car park, not a scratch or ding on it and it also had a full tank of fuel!
Don't really know what i'm waffling on about, just chuffed it turned out tickety boo and i will be able to get those rice pudding skins removed now.
Just bought a set of Genuine Nissan NOS alloys for £100 as well, oh happy days!!
🙂
I loved my K11, was a 1.4 as well. Great car.
Well done - there are some honest & decent sellers on EBay. I've met plenty.....
The trick is to view the car - with the money to buy. Make them an offer - to sell it privately as eBay takes 10% & PayPal another 4% so they might be amenable to split the difference........
Sounds just like my old £220 Volvo v70, bought on 1 picture and 11 months mot left on it. When I went to collect guy was miffed, and said "that's the risk with eBay", got myself a right bargain there.
I bought a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe like this, one smudgy picture on ebay and a trip out to buy it, best car I've ever sold on, my next door neighbour has it and loves it!
My mother has an X plate k11 with ~10k miles on it!
