Do people really fall for this?
Some people obviously do. I've heard that these sorts of scam email are deliberately written in bad english etc to act as a filter. Anyone who reads is and thinks, 'this is legit' passes the idiot test and is therefor worth spending time on. The rest of us don't even read it so there's not effort lost.
Go for it mate. Sounds perfectly legit to me.
i was in an old guys house a couple of weeks ago, retired bank manager 80 odd years old living alone and he had every sob story from help the aged help the deaf donkeys love stray cats etc etc etc.. must have been over a dozen, piled up neatly under his living room window and a cheque stapled to each one ready for posting..
