Following on from your fine help with my daughters business naming last year, I'm back for help again, but with my business.
The time I need to become Ltd Co. for various reasons is here, so help needed with a company name.
Background, its a very small group of experienced individuals, over 125 years between us, all ex-police dog handlers, we provide specialist search dogs services, at the minute its only explosive search, but need to be able to include other search options in the future.

Currently working for higher end clients, city, exhibition events, so any name needs to credible, not jokey etc

Don't really like the K9 shortening, not sure why though!

Open to any suggestions or ideas....thanks in advance

"Scooby-Don't (even think about hiding your drugs there)"

"Fido fetchers"

Either one will cost you £300 if you choose to use it.

PPG please

Imagine what you'd type into google to find someone doing your line of work and make sure the company name reflects it.

So, as above, Specialist Search and Detection, Canine Security Search, etc.

Have you looked at a Limited Liability Partnership?

I've got it...
Detection Specialist Clean Sweep Security Services with Dogs.

Because it's longer, it's £350 for that one.

I like 'specialist search dogs services' but you said it yourself so I can't take any credit.

Edit: what he^ said (but not the acronym)

thanks mike, see what you mean, yes done that, but thanks for the info, although hopefully never need it or be too far from a vet.
Some good suggestions, some new which I really like (one in particular) , others along lines we've already explored.

Spiny, are you going to be working over at Excel in September? I remember seeing a fair few spaniel based search solutions wandering around the entrances at the last DSEi.

A late entry... What about something canine related from mythology?

Cerebrus - Triple headed watchdog of Hades and gatekeeper of the underworld etc. You could base your logo on William Blakes:

[img] [/img]

Other options:

Marea - Belonged to Icarus and led Icarus’s daughter to his slain body buried under a tree. Perhaps a tad close to the knuckle if you want to get into SAR / recovery searches.

Argus - Faithful hound of Odysseus. Could get confused with low end retail store of similar name though.

Laelaps - Dog of Zeus who never failed to find his prey. Minus points for sounding like a sanitary product.

I'll settle for a modest percentage of first year's profits...ithenkyou 😉

Not related to the original post in any way, but whilst we're on the subject of canine puns, this place is a regular tea stop on local rides:
