You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I'd like you to explain why you go to the lengths of advertising a job, receiving & sifting any amount of applications, having management & HR people conduct interviews with hopeful applicants, award the role to a successful candidate, do the required vetting/checks then 2 weeks later tell that person that 'funding has been withdrawn for that position'?
Because that's what happened today. Offered the job 2 weeks ago today only to be told by the guy who would've been my boss that the decision had been made by 'The Business Development Group' Talk about a kick in the nuts/Light at the end of the tunnel but some incompetent fctard who can't get his sums right in the very 1st place turns it off.
Pity I can't use the words I'd like to. C Y N T Sisters.
They've closed the whole thing after an issue with selling 'justice' solutions to Saudi.
Have a look at Jack of Kent on twitter plus his blog for historic background and his exposure of the lies they told.
The job was in Waste Management at our prison, from a Band 3 (prison officer) to 4 (instructor) but less money cos of shift allowances. I didn't even care about the money but it would've involved delivering NVQ's to prisoners in waste management control & hopefully enabling them to gain employment on release, which is a MASSIVE part of rehabilitation in the Prison Services statement of purpose http://www.justice.gov.uk/about/hmps/ (reduce the risk of reoffending part)
It was also a light at the end of my tunnel, so now at 59 I'll still be expected to roll around the floor with 21+ yr olds, high on spice & looking for bother!
That's shite.
Justification for a couple of days off on sick, and bugger off on the bike.
sorry, I misunderstood - I knew they'd been involved in some commercial deals recently that had gone badly - I assumed from the job title it was associated with that.
Bit of a shitty way to be treated by your employer, whatever the reason, though.
