Think I'm up to about 15 of them, a few are hidden where you can only see them from a certain vantage point (my truck cab means I know of two that I can see but the people on the street next to me can't!) and there's one on the estate my work is based on. The one on the Portway road was my first spot and I've got a little notebook now with my other spots, would love to know how many there actually are and get them all.

@reluctantjumper

The very top one is at Seabank Power Station and has only just appeared.

🙂

Ps Did you sort your rental out in Bristol ? I'm still looking out. But the last one I saw in my village was £2,500 pcm. OMG

@redthunder - thanks, will check that one out when I can! No luck on the rental still, haven't even managed to get a viewing for a fortnight.

Why do people still live there? That's over four times my mortgage on a 5-bedroom house. You're all mad!

There is a large rock near Kingsweston house in Shire with a partial bumpsy on it. Give me a clue on the Seabank one Redhunter?

@thedts

If you look closely the artist has started painting in white towards the top of Mr Bump. Then they or them realised the wall is almost white. Brainwave...save paint.

Like you say the wall will be reclaimed soon. Back to cream :-(.

However, would I want one on my wall. Mmm. Yes and No . Erring to no as what it might escalate into. But I do like the the Bumps.

Morale conundrum. Banksy sanctioned but not the others.

Plus, I hate tags.... should be shot.

Pity, really liked those ones. There was one that appeared in Emerson's Green for a few days but was quickly painted over by the council. Didn't look very weel done though so not sure if it was a copycat or a real one.

Now I moved away from Bristol in 2000, and I am sure the Bumps were about then, am I right?

Thanks for that @redthunder. It's double dutch to me but I'll find a crochet-er to make sense of it

I'm sat in a Bristol hotel room as we speak, the Mercure next to Coliseum bar, as I was at a wedding last night. For a bit of context, the bride and groom work for Ardman Animations as animators, and the father of the groom, my uncle was an art teacher in the city pretty much all of his career.

I told them how I was thrilled to see the bumpsy's in the gorge as we drove in. Blank looks. So I went round asking other guests. Not a bloody clue. Philistines.

So then I had to explain how I knew about Bumpsy, given I live 180 miles north. Oh yeah, I read about him on a mountain biking forum. 😁

@tthew

That made me laugh.

:).

Also, the Bumpsy's have seemed to have gone quiet recently. I have seen any since the M49 Junction 1 version.

Now painted over 🙁
