In an ideal world i'd like to buy the best, but common sense and other priorities forbid this. My local gym has BLKBOX stuff, seems ok, but the bars are not the best i've ever used.
Any pearls of wisdom much appreciated, what you got, pics of your setup would be candy to my eyes.
I bought one of the cheapest sets out there, Apollo USA, but they didn't last...

Have since replaced with https://www.facebook.com/Exertrain who mainly deal with gyms, but you can phone up and buy direct.
Our CF Box used Bulldog, which is also really well made.
Their coloured bumper plates are used every day at the Box and show no signs of wear:
