So, having been inspired by all the great threads on here I spent the weekend building a new log store.

The store fills the gap left in our fence after it was destroyed by a falling beech tree. The tree was enormous and did a huge amount of damage to the garden retaining walls and fence but all that firewood is going to keep us warm for a few winters

Having attached a joist frame to the posts, I rebuilt the fence and laid out the floor

Almost finished.
I laid some salvaged slabs along the front edge .
Still need to do the rest of the landscaping .

All I need now is the roof panels which are coming later this week.

I think my future has a lot of chopping, splitting and stacking......

That's a man sized shed! I'm curious why you had the roof slope towards the garden?

Well it had to slope one way or another!
I really wasn't sure which would be the best option to be honest. I'm planning to put some gutters on to collect rain water into a water butt. That seemed easier this way round.

I was hoping for some more roofing, guttering and log splitting pics. Chop chop.
