now then, looks like we need to replace our built-in oven. does anyone know if they are all a standard size? looks like 60cm x 60cm is the height x width size, but what about depth? any info or expertise gratefully received!

There are a number of widths - but most are 60 cm.
Standard depth AFAIK
Different heights though - especially once you start getting into double-oven, or 1 & 1/2 ovens

The vast majority will be the same as your size theflatboy but there is a variation, depth is standard size though.
