If I had a new oven fitted, I wouldn't expect the fitters to get a couple of baked tatties on the go, but in this case I think you need to brush it off.

I fit Bathrooms and Kitchens for a living. I ALWAYS let the new owners christen the new toilet, seems a bit rude not to.
