We've had an Onkyo TX-SR605 for donkeys years and have loved it.
Unfortunately it's just blown up so we need a replacement.
Can anyone recommend a new surround amp (doesn't need to be 7.1) at the more budget end of the scale around £300-£350. Richer Sounds do the Onkyo TX-SR393 for £299 but I'm not sure how good this is compared to our old one? Are there any features I need to have on the new one?
Would you consider second hand?
I have a Sony STR-DN1080 going which is now surplus to requirements.
A1 condition and in full working order.
£175.00 ONO collected from the GL5 area.
Make sure it's got the correct 4k support. I'm a bit gutted my old Denon x2000 hasn't. Luckily not a current problem as I don't have a 4k TV, but something to bear in mind if trying to future proof
the one I have to go has 4k support
