Evening all!

Our old tent has died so we're looking to replace it with a 4/5 person number.
Seen a couple of contenders by the two brands above, the question is are they much of a muchness or is one significantly better as a brand?

cheers!

Think they're much of a muchness really. We did alot of tent shopping before deciding to get a camper van. Outwell, Vango and Kampa were the usual brands we were shopping between. All pretty similar in terms of features. We were leaning towards an Outwell tent in the end, not due to brand preference specifically, it just suited us best in terms of the layout and design. The Vango tent we had before was perfectly fine and seemed on par with the Outwell as did all the others.

Since getting the van we've got an Outwell awning and it's a nice bit of kit.

Vango, Coleman and Outwell are much the same really. All 3 make decent kit for several budgets. We've got an Outwell Cloud 5 and a Vango Mirage 300+ and both are really well made, having stood up to some pretty awful UK weather over the past couple of years.

Don't know if this will help but scouting eBay for hardly used tents has served us well this summer.
Previously had a outwell Montana which I really did not like. Sold on quickly. Spent loads on a camplet which served us well for a decade.
Recently swapped for a Cabanon Awaya from eBay plus trailer. Best tent I have had and cost next to nothing.
