We are going to the BTCC at Knockhill on Sunday for the first time, after going to the British GP this year also for the first time, we were on a 7am bus to get into the circuit at a reasonable time. Whilst I don't expect that sort of timings, i also don't want to spend an hour in a que. So What time to people start heading up the circuit on race day?

We went last year and we went in around 8.30am - 9am. There was a 'short' Q and took us about 20 minutes to get in. We watched the entry road from inside the compound and later on that morning you could see it snaking all the say down the road. Dont know the entry time it took (looking south). Cant comment for the entry from North.

Thanks for the reminder this is on - I regularly ride the Knockhill road and will avoid the area this weekend!

We went to the BSB round earlier in the year, never seen so many folk there before TBH. Queue-wise we queued coming from the South, crossroads A823/B914 onwards, but then probably half the crowd were on motorbikes, so a lot less congestion. Took us max 40 mins to parking up, including paying etc.

We're going for the BTCC too, but camping so driving up tomorrow morning.

Enjoy.

Done the GT Racing at Oulton for a day, arrived early straight in. Getting out is a pain, so we just hung about for a bit. Camping sounds great though !! My son's in Spa for the 24h this week !

Good stuff. Aimed for 9, got in for about 10. Kids loved it, loads of signatures from the BTCC drivers, Lewis Hamilton's brother, Plato, Chilton etc etc as well as the other classes. Up close and personal with the racing, and the weather even played ball and got all sunny in the afternoon which is not really like Knockhill! First time at a big event up at Knockhill and as above, really well organised, no big gaps in the racing and a full day of events. Finished in time to listen to the ladies football in the que to get out as well..
