So Ms O_H_H would like BT Sport (or similar) so she can watch the football this season.
I could upgrade the current EETV to Apple TV with BT Sport for C. £14/month which a) sounds expensive and b)means we lose the EETV live tv and recording aspect that she also wants.
Was wondering if getting the BT Sport app on a Firestick or similar USB plug in was a viable option and if so if it was suitably simple that a Luddite like myself could get it working?
Any recommendations for best / suitable devices?
Cheers
If you're a BT Boadband customer, you can get app on phone and cast to tv.
I dont think you can get app without being BT customer
There is also Now TV Sky Sports pass, you can buy 1 day, 1 week and 1 month passes. and google tells me Now TV works on EETV but that is £33 per month, available for £5 per month for mobile devices only but I don't know if you can cast that to your tv or if watching on a tablet is a good enough experience for your wife.
I think TV stick (shop around to see which has offers and is least expensive) plus BT sports on top is best option.
Haven't used BT sport but used a few of these similar app based TV thingy bobs and they're all pretty simple; 1) download app to smart tv/smart stick, 2) create account with the app provider 3) buy the service you require from them 4) start watching
