Having to cut back a little. We have BT broadband which is really slow also a BT mobile contract.
I want to cancel our broadband package and have only the landline and mobile contract.
Anybody know what I could expect to get my landline down to per month?
I’ve been trying all day to contact them, understandably they will be very busy and possibly short staffed
BT Ladline only

This could almost be a good as "Improving my wife signal" 😉
Yep, wondering if it is safe so suggest folks who might like this

Ladline?
0891 50 50 50?
You know you remember the ads...
Loving the idea of ladline
If I had reasonable mobile signal and wanted to save cash I'd think ditching the landline landline as well so I assume I'm missing something
If it's a a short term saving It'd go to money supermarket at look at new deals. Moe options than I realised all way less than I pay.
Sorry for my typing error!
We have rural line of sight broadband via dish on our chimney that works ok
Also have BT broadband we rarely use so going to cancel it and negotiate a new deal for landline only problem is I can’t get through. Just wondered if anybody else had a good deal
What do you want a la(n)dline for if you're not driving DSL over it? Sack it off and use the mobiles, total cost £0.00
Consider whether now is the best time to remove any internet redundancy. All of India went into lockdown today I believe which will affect the call centres, telecoms providers are being affected. I would not meddle with anything you cannot afford to be without whilst people are trying to work and school from home!
If you've got internet via some other means and mobiles, then I'd definitely consider just dropping BT entirely. Our landline is just a vehicle for ADSL (non-BT) and line rental is £30/month I think.
We cancelled the landline when we got fibre. I don't think I'd picked up a phone with a dial tone in years. Not missed it in the last 2 years. So +1 for dumping the landline :).
A landline is always a good idea, even more so if your remote,as a power-fail alternative form of communication.
If you are receiving benefits, you could get BT Basic for £5 per month.

Good luck with this, we're in the same boat and the best they would do was a drop in TV services. BT are/were totally inflexible, they wouldn't even consider ending the contract early without charging us for the remainder of the term.
I’m fairly rural with very poor mobile coverage so rely on a booster via Wi-fi to help the signal wife needs landline for work so don’t want to do away with it. Spent 45 mins listening to music trying to speak with someone from BT gave up in the end. I will sort it once things calm down if I can get through
I've recently switched over to the post office for landline and broadband costs 15.90 month. Works ok, not the fastest obviously but its reliable which is all we wanted.
