Brushless Hydroshot, worth the extra?

I’ve just been looking at the Worx Hyrdoshot and see they have a brushless model for an extra £80.

Do we think it’s worth the extra or shall I just go for the older model?

What will the brushless one do that the normal one doesn’t?

I’ve got a normal one and the pressure is more than enough for bike washing. If you want it also to wash a car I’d say it’s quite a bit down on power vs my mains Nilfisk pressure washer.

Battery lasts quite a few washes and I have a 10 litre water container I usually take with me - 3/4 full is normally plenty to wash a very muddy bike.

I've got the brushless one, my dad has the regular. I'd say yes - it's worth it.

I'll happily wash my car with the brushless model, it's like a low power pressure washer. The std model is more like a more powerful garden hose. It'd be a right pain washing the car with the normal one, not enough water flow or pressure.

And you get a fast charger and a bigger battery.

Ive got an older one that i use at work, it gets properly abused but just keeps going. The original battery failed after about 2 years so I replaced it with a bigger battery that has been brilliant, personally i would spend the extra on a second (bigger) battery.

Its also great for bike cleaning but not good enough for car cleaning duty imo. YMMV

edit yeah tallpauls comment makes sense

Yeah the main difference is the flow rate, 120 Vs 210lt/hr. On paper it's only 1bar more max pressure but that combined with almost double the water flow makes a nice difference.

If it's just for washing the bike after a ride the std one is probably fine but for me the brushless has replaced the mains powered pressure washer.

I can't comment on the brushless model but the standard one is not like a more powerful garden hose. It might not be as powerful as a mains powered pressure washer but it's much better than a hose.

It’s for taking in the van with me to wash the bikes, I have a Stihl power washer for use at home.
Thanks for the replies, decision time.

I have the brushless one for roadside use, it's great, 6 to 7 muddy bikes on one battery.

Can't say whether it better value though.

Can you adjust the power on them so you're not blasting the bearings when washing the bike?
