Different sides of the same coin and both abhorrent in my view, although Mrs JJ & my youngest like both.
Does anyone like one but not the other?

And now she's saying mayo not ketchup on chips. I think I need a divorce!

It's getting worse, she hates Marmite (I love it), but would have Bovril as a drink.

Brown sauce yes (although I don't use it often as I rarely cook meaty stuff so a bottle lasts me years), salad cream no. It obliterates the flavour of anything you put it on

rightly so hate marmite!

just in from a ride and probably put close to two desert spoons of marmite on my toast

She says you're just playing at it if a bottle lasts years!

Vile inventions, in the same category as orange cheese for me.

There's no such thing as bad cheese hels! Well... Not outside America. Where they seem to congregate with the Undrinkable beer!

Salad cream / mayo. It's one of your basic energy types like carbs, fat and protein.

Brown sauce. Well it's brown and doesn't taste of chocolate.

Orangey cheese? Do you mean red Leicester, which is a much maligned prince among English cheeses. Not the stuff in cellophane found in chiller cabinets in the supermarket, obviously, but the proper mature farmhouse red Leicester is a revelation if that is what you've held as a standard up to now.

Salad cream is amazing, brilliant with mashed up eggs. Brown sauce is just wrong, why would you spoil something with brown sauce when red sauce is so much better?
