You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
So I finally got a toy helicopter for Christmas. Just getting the hang of flying it about the kitchen and pop, the USB charger fries itself and now I can't charge the internal battery 🙁
The USB plug and its circuit board were all glued together so broke when I opened it with my fingernails, but the board is obviously burnt and the plastic plug is melted.
All I need to know, is whether the board is a standard USB plug or has it got any battery monitoring intelligence to avoid over-charger the 'copter? It does have a silly red LED on it, which lights up as soon as its plugged into the helicopter even if its not charger from the laptop/controller. If its a standard plug I can just butcher an old camera lead...
