So I have had my fibula broken by an out of control, snowboarding, French bastard...
not diplaced so apparently no real therapy/cast required just crutches and a month to 6 weeks recovery
this is going to drive me crazy, anyone got any experience of the stuff you see athletes having to speed up repairs? Lazers or ultrasound or something? Not sure I know what to google.
For Googling purposes I'd suggest spelling "laser" correctly.
You won't speed it up. Avoid ibuprofen as that slows bone regrowth (according to my spinal surgeon). Eat a good diet and make sure you get plenty of calcium.
Do your rehab  are you ok to use a turbo

Hyperbaric Oxygen! Great way to promote healing and often overlooked. You may unknowing live close to an O2 therapy centre probably used to treat MS patients. I've spent a lot of time in a hyperbaric environment in my line of work. Cuts, grazes and bruises etc all seem to vanish pretty quickly.
Might be worth a punt.

This is the first I've heard of this, I'll look into it.
The fibula is a non-load bearing structure. If you are relatively young and don't smoke or have diabetes (as these increase the risk of non-union) you could probably crack on with most stuff, pain dependent of course!

I know nothing of it other than a friend of mine had the laser thing for a broken collar bone and seemed to be back on the bike in no time. She spoke very highly of it.
