This made me smile - good on the lad. And no I'm making no judgment on anything other than I thought the lad is braver than me for having a go. And it wasn't a bad tackle. Certainly effective.

The sad thing is, in this day and age...

...you get a yellow card and ten minutes in the bin for a good robust tackle like that.

Good effort.

I would have personally gone for the tried and tested 'leg up' approach. Takes me back to my childhood when 'leg up tig' and British bulldog' were allowed.

Good on the lad. Far better to see someone smiling, confident and looking forward to the future than the sort of shirtless, sallow, oxygen thief he tackled.
