Anything there? Have to head up their to pick something up, and rather than do a 180 mile round trip, didn't know if there was anything worth doing/seeing for a couple hours?

Park the car by RAF Scampton (on the A15) and hope to see the Red Arrows practicing?

Drive into the ex-RAF married quarters by the airfield, you can park near the end of the runway and wave at pilots as they taxi past you back to the hangers 🙂

Brigg is a smallish market town and not very exciting. Hibaldstow down the road has parachute school, you might get lucky and have a busy day with tandam jumpers screaming there way down to earth 🙂 or competition jumpers trying to come down fast. Local saying of "one came down a bit quick" equates to a chute failure 🙁

Depending on which your going, maybe chop over to sherwood forest with a bike for a blast round.

If going up the M1 then you can vist Alpkit J26/27 or on-one further up, about 45mins from on-ones warehouse to Brigg

Humber bridge is worth a look if you haven't seen it.

There's a few great pubs in Brigg, the Yarborough Hunt being the best, but if only a fleeting visit you'll probably not be able to have a pint.

Nice part of the world though.

I grew up in Hibaldstow, went to school in Brigg.

There's not really a lot of 'must-sees' even if it's pleasant enough. Going for tea and cake in Grandad's shed is about as exciting as it gets.

Top marks for saying North Lincs and not Lincs or South Humberside 🙂

Ebygomm - the highlight of my childhood was being taken to Sargent's at Hibaldstow 🙂 Lived at Barnetby until I was eight.

Jamie - there might be something going on at Cadwell.

Shifter was it the wooden shed or the parlour then?

Not there anymore, they sold the site for housing 🙁

If big engineering is your bag, you'll be well impressed.
