To Brewers has anyone used a St Austell proper job pack, when it says extract does it mean it's a kit complete in a tin? Cheers in advance.
It will be a complete kit - depends a bit on the extract how you will deal with it. Simplest kits use pre-hopped extracts, so you basically just add water, yeast, done - get some tolerable beer in a couple of weeks.
Some kits might give you the malt extract and hops separate, so you will do a bit more of the brewing process - boil, add hops, cool, pitch yeast etc. Potential for brewing better ale this way.
It will be clear as a bell with the instructions either way.
Means its using malt extract which is usually sold in sealed tins.
Thanks for that gents, nearly finished all of my first brew it was a coopers IPA. Took little longer to brew bit to cool but is / was very pleasant surprisingly. Next one will be the proper job, thanks again
