Anyone else got this? Been quite a pleasant experience so far. The Jet Stream was a bit light for my taste but I would welcome it on a hot summer's afternoon. Looking forward to the next few mornings!

My Beer Hawk advent calendar with mysterious Anglo/French beers looks interesting - I only have one or two a week so storing it up.

Today's is Ibimi by the Wild Beer Co - described as cranberry, sea salt and coriander. 😱

I may ask for the Brewdog one next year

Enjoying the Beer 52 one here. Evil Santa milk stout was something else.

Really enjoying the brewdog one. I’m a lightweight and can’t keep up with a beer a day during Dec so may have had a head start in Nov. Baby Jesus will be turning in his grave!

Just enjoying my Double Punk right now. The Cream Soda Lager was a bit different. Wonder why they've all been 330ml cans except the Double Punk that is the strongest one which is 440ml? Hazy Jane is my favourite, but the Jet Stream was enjoyable and would be a lovely session beer.

That Cream Soda beer was lovely, not sure I could drink many of them though.

Saving my double punk for Sunday lunch 🙂

There was nothing lovely about that Cream Soda monstrosity! Hipsters lost the plot on that one!

I peeked early at tomorrow's - Cloudwater collaboration!

Quite enjoying mine so far but despite the different cans its only been one beer...

I'll just pop open the cream soda

You have a 330ml can of beer every morning?! I get moaned at for having a small bottle (275ml) of lager with my dinner in the evening.

Is there a Wetherspoons version? Pint of Stella and a full English every morning 😀

That cream soda one was a miss. I know 4 other people with the calendar and we all disapproved of it. The double punk was nice and easily drinkable. Thus it's a dangerous beer at 8.2%

+1 for the Cloudwater and the double punk.

So far it’s been good. I was looking forward to Jet Stream but it was disappointing for Brewdog.

Is the Jet Stream just a rebranded version of the Speedbird special thedid with BA - cans looked suspiciously similar...

I liked the JetStream. Just a decent session ale. Punk without all the Hops. Wouldn't be my go to beer but perfectly pleasant, especially on a long haul flight where you're in the air long enough to get drunk, sober up, have a hangover and get drunk again if the beer is too lethal. Cloudwater was as good as I remembered it from first time around. Today's number, Light Speed, sounds promising too.

I got two beer advent calendars, brewdog one and a one from a local creperie that does a nice range in craft beers https://sophiesbeerstore.co.uk (and is run by a mountain biker) the one from Sophies has 12 beers in it but all are way more interesting than the brew dog box, which is very nice of course but just a bit more "normal", I plan on starting the box from Sophies on Christmas Day, so that'll be 36 different beers over the month and a bit!

Cream Soda beer is wrong. The double punk was nice, Cloudwater collab is a winner too.

No, but I did jokingly argue that if other people have chocolate in the morning...

Didn't get round to the Cream Soda and subsequent beers so building a little stash now. Must try and keep up. 😉

Make 'keeping up' that bit easier by accidentally spilling the Cream Soda nonsense down the toilet...

Today's Light Speed is fruity. If you've ever had Drygate Disco Forklift Truck think that but a bit weaker.

I didn’t mind the cream soda tbh. Admittedly I’d not rush out and buy it again but it just tasted like some of the slightly sweet, light beers you sometimes get in southern Germany.

The Light Speed was good. Similar fruity flavour to the Clearwater I thought, but lighter and a thinner. So far so good.

So many flavours competing with each other in a very unharmonious fashion. A bit like how I'd imagine a slops bucket to taste. Not a fan.

Got my lightspeed to look forward to later. I thought the cream soda one was OK. I'm not looking forward to the heavy sours though - I just don't get them.

So, the Duopolis was excellent, very drinkable.

The Double Punk and Brewdog vs Cloudwater were also very palatable although dangerous given the strength.

Duopolis is one of my favoures from the BD line up. No so keen on tonight’s Fake Empire. Not into sours. Tastes like lager and lime with too much lime. Can’t love em all I guess

Pook, are you really missing a beer? The internal cardboard separators seem to be quite flimsy, maybe it's broken free during shipping and occupying another slot. You'll probably get a two in another slot.

It's a corker today. Perfect for a Friday night tipple.

My number 10 had migrated to the number 1 slot. I’m guessing Mrs OTS had moved the box.

As it gets emptier the flimsy design will probably result in the remainders falling to the bottom, mine is stored on it's back now.

Any opinions on the Fake Empire? Got that and the O G Hazy to look forward to this evening.

Triple hazy was great. Didn't think much of the Sour Grinch though, I like some sours, but I'd have struggled to drink any more than the one small can of this.

I didn’t manage the Sour Grinch. Had to bale half way through unfortunately. But been keeping up so far. Tonight’s Juice Shack was ok. Didn’t think I’d like it but was quite pleasant:

Sour grinch was a case of sip. Confirm disgust. Give to Mrs I to confirm disgust. Pour down sink.

Couldn't manage either the Sour Grinch or Juice Shack. Both were grim and a definite low point otherwise I've enjoyed the rest. Hope things improve from here on in...

Juice shack was nice, and the Mrs loved it. Finished the sour grinch, but I prefer slightly sour stuff. I'd recommend giving it to someone who has lost their sense of taste through covid, but wants a beer.

The cream soda was not nice at all. Fake empire was ace IMO. Double punk def dangerous because it's so tasty.

I liked the juice shack, but the Grinch Sour was clearly a piss take. Truly awful. But it is the only one I've not enjoyed so far, which is pretty amazing.

Didn't actually mind the Grinch Sour, not sure I'd buy it again but as part of a selection it wasn't too bad. Juice Shack was surprisingly pleasant.

So far the Cream Soda was an abomination and I wasn't keen on Fake Empire. I've still got Triple Hazy and Elvis Juice stashed along with today's Elvis Hammer mashup.

The only one I've had that has tasted any different to the others is the Sour Grinch one, that was just awful.

Is my palette wrecked?

Back on better form with Elvis Hammer. A good, strong IPA but I couldn’t really taste grapefruit (no bad thing maybe). Enjoyable!

Pook, you didn't notice the subtle undertones of Cream Soda!!! Get a CV19 test!

I thought the Elvis Hammer just tasted of very strong alcohol, almost spirit like - really lacked flavour

Not enjoying the Elvis hammer as much as the double punk. Think at this ABV the grapefruit flavour has just turned very bitter. Not an unpleasant beer and i’ll finish it, but just a bit harsh for my liking.
