Going to test a one nighter in the van Saturday night and stay near hope and ride ladybower the next day. Haven’t sorted a cooker yet so where should I go for some evening grub and breakfast in the morning?
Hardhurst Farm used to do a good breakfast, behind the Travellers Rest.
Cafe Adventure. Award winning mountain bikers cafe in the centre of Hope.
Cant go wrong in here and they have a big car park for the van.

Breakfast is good as is the food on an evening.
Also a good Indian at the side of 18 Bikes and a good Italian down the road in Castleton
Ladybower Inn also has stopovers for campervans
Cafe Adventure as above. Billy’s spicy beans with bacon…👌👌
Billy’s Beans wi’ two eggs on’t top. World class.
Cafe Adventure. Award winning mountain bikers cafe in the centre of Hope
and just around the corner from the award winning 18 Bikes
I like the Grasshopper Cafe in Hope, excellent coffee.
Ah. That Hope.
As you were.
Way back in the '80s/'90s the swimming pool in Hathersage did a good breakfast. I see it still does breakfast.
Cafe Adventure
Grindleford Station Cafe. If only for the passive aggressive signage. Actually, might be better as a lunchtime or post ride stop, the egg & chips are ace.
Another vote for Billy's beans with eggs on 😋 Didn't rate the grasshopper to be fair, and I've been twice, I'm no coffee snob so that might have been lost on me, and the food was pretty average.
In Hope I'd agree with Cafe Adventure for breakfast/lunch - something I do far too often! Grasshopper for coffee/cake, although Cafe Adventure cakes are bang on too!
The Deli in Hathersage is bang on too.
Hope the weekend went as planned, how was the food.
For an evening meal I'd recommend the Cheshire Cheese Inn a few minutes walk out of Hope towards Edale. The Sticky toffee pudding was v.nice a couple of weekends ago.
