I've got class 1 business use on my car insurance but it appears many breakdown companies have business use as a general exclusion in their terms and conditions.

What do you business men and women do for breakdown cover?

Rich.

If you're just driving to clients etc in a car then they don't need to know why you're there IMO. 🙂

But if you're obviously a tradesman, delivery driver etc then you'll need the appropriate level of cover.

I got asked this yesterday when adding my son to our RAC policy, and was quite surprised but assumed (in my head anyway) that is was as per above.

Class 1 business use isn't a bar in itself, it depends on the breakdown company's definition
Autoaid don't seem to limit business users, but they limit cover to cars (including estates and car-derived vans), some motorcycles and some motorcaravans
It doesn't use the same model as the AA/RAC, etc, it's "pay and claim", so have a look at the FAQs
