Holland appear to have a policy of not crossing halfway. Occasionally they forget, realisation strikes, and they all rush to get it back into their own half again.

We had a thing like fishcakes with little cubes of halloumi in a few weeks ago. It was well weapon.

The NED shirt looks less orange when worn with white shorts.

Dear god. I love football, I really do, but this is awful. Has there been a chance yet?

Can't we just give it to Germany and be done

It's an interesting contrast between the geeky cyclists persevering with body parts obviously damaged and macho footballers appearing to be shot and in agony when someone stands on their foot.

now this is more like those premiership derbies rio ferdinand was banging on about! Reminds that great teams can play as bad as england. Unfortunately the converse isnt true 🙂

This is probably more interesting than the game itself.

Guardian minute-by-minute is not amused.

77 min: A free kick to Holland down the left. Sneijder Kuyts it out of play to the right of goal, on the full. You'd need to be 12 feet tall, with a good spring, to get a header on that. This is piss-poor.

There was a shit pundit called Townsend.
Who everybody thought was a bell-end.
He played for the Oirish
When they weren't quite so dire-ish
And now his career's at a dead-end.

This is the second consecutive Dutch game where they seem bereft of any other way to play other than the way they do. No variation, no creative ideas and no alternative plan, seemingly. Van Gaal for Man U, yes please! They can stay as a one dimensional collection of individuals next season too with him calling the shots.

Oh and Kuyt, does he ever pass the ball forward to the oppositions goal? His first touch is always on the right foot and backwards, followed by a back pass. Poor all round and the Argentines aren't faring much better either.

The Germans must be delighted, especially when this goes to extra time!

There was boring ex player called Andy
His voice made Clive Tyldsley quite randy
and as he fellated
Townsend commentated
"what he done there it beats a hand shandy"

I've just been given a preview of Joachim Loew's tactical plan for Sunday.

It's a piece of paper with 'turn up' written on it.

and both will beat brazil, so only playing to decide 1st loser and 2 loser.

i would welcome a golden goal approach if we cant skip straight to spot kicks

I can't see the Dutch getting very vlaar if they keep getting kuyt out like this. Saying that, it would be quite krul if they do go out, even though you would have to be blind to not see that they have played de jong tactics.

Actually, Ive a plan. Lets stop this tournament now. we all know the Germans ae by far and away the best team at the moment with a positive approach to playing the game and working out that if you score more goals than the opposition, you win.

Its been a great competition this time round, more entertaining matches than not and quite frankly, the final isn't going to replicate last nights' game. So, my vote is for forgetting the 3rd and 4th play-off match and the final. Give Germany the prize money and lets remember the whole shebang with the spectacle that was the first semi final.

Alternatively, introduce the removal of one player per team every 5minutes with immediate effect. 😀

Usually, when watching a game as a neutral, I pick a team to root for.

I really couldn't give a flying **** who wins this one.

Such a bad 120 mins.
