Sadly it was last updated on the 5th June, so be interesting where we drop to when it's redone after the WC.

Fascinating fact:

Shaqiri is so stocky, one of his nicknames is "Kraftwürfel" - which translates as 'power cube'.

Right! WTF is going on! I've just had a 2 hour ride, forsaking football for a match as this was, of any of the games, a mere formality.

Which just goes to show what I bloody know 😕

a mere formality.

Probably not.

Despite the talent they have, they are not a team like that lot coached by the diving cheat from Spurs

Only messing. If there's one team that don't succomb to the rooftop sniper, it's them. Which is nice considering that Jurgen was the Robben of his day.

Why? Plucky underdog status and, until the last match, playing with honesty and passion... or so I thought.

Not according to the stats; Team USA soccerball are the 7th floppiest team in the tournament.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28100892

'Slightly' concerning: 302 times the trainers been on, for 9 genuine injuries. Time for retrospective action, I think.

Don't be silly! If the Americans get any further, then Hollywood will start making films telling the story of how they invented Football in New Yoik.

Come on Belgium! You've been crap so far! Sort it out!

Not often I'd quote Lawro, but...

"Fellaini really needs to try harder"

Is a thought that's entered my consciousness on more than the odd occasion this season

Danny Murphy, innit?

Or do you remember Lawro quotes from previous times?

If Lawro commentated on a Man U game this season then he said it, too

Scousers, innit? They all sound the same 😉 I think he must have been temporarily possessed by Lawro's facial hair.

Anyway.... Stating that microphone-head is lazy and useless is a truism.

He's going to score now isn't he?

I think it's fair to say that anyone who has commentated on a game featuring Fellaini has said the same.

I still can't watch a game in this World Cup without saying "they'd dick on England". About both teams. I don't see any reason to desist from this watching USA v Belgium. They're not brilliant, but they'd still both do the job against England more often than not.

Mind you, Fellaini does resemble an arthritic chasing a bus that he's just missed by a few seconds.

As I said on an earlier page, Belgium really haven't done much in this tournament.

I would go as far to say they are the new Swiss.

Marc Wilmots must have put some effort in to drill the natural skill and flair out of players like Hazard and Mertens.

Danny - we've been making the same comment in every game too. The way Algeria played would have absolutely demolished England!

'The future of English Football' looks remarkably similar to the recent past of English Football... absolute shite!
