does Robben have a record for 'most fouled in the penalty area' by any chance?

Ugh.

It's alright for you lot you don't live with a smug Dutch person.

Some of them are alright coz my flat mate married one ... 😆

I prefer the Finns coz they are weird in funny ways.

I'd have already awarded two penalties to the Dutch but not the one they were given. Refs need video playback.

As much as I try to like Arjen Robben, dives like that mean I can't. He is the type of player I like to watch play football, quick, purposeful, confident on the ball and loves running at defenders. But he is also a toe-curling cheat!

Sneijder hit that shot well for the first goal, jeez!

The next game has the potential to be a pretty dull affair. Here's hoping for a surprise.

What on earth?? Just seen that BT sport ad with Bale sporting a lovely hairband!

Good grief!

Anyway, hoping CR win with the Arsenal lad scoring a couple!

Diving is far worse than biting. That dive changed the outcome of the game and potentially the tournament.

Samaras is truly the worst player I have had the honour of watching live ...
And I have seen MK Dons play a few times ...

I was hoping his first Greece goal in 2 years would have opened the floodgates.

Guess not.

Judging from this performance so far it seems I may be stuck with a smug Dutch housemate until at least the semis

The last thing we want is the Greeks scoring first. At least if Costa Rica score first, Greece may be forced to be a bit more positive.

This match between Costa Coffee and Greek Spartan is getting really boring ...

... so so boring I have temporary switched channel to watch this semi-naked singing lady at Glastonbury ... I can dance like her if dancing means jumping up and down ...

🙄

Edit: if the Spartan scored first you will have all eleven Spartans as goalies. 😆

After the Brazil Chile game most games would look a bit dull - however the late game last night & tonight have struggled to keep my attention.

As I rode 100miles today I think it's bed time now...

EDIT - although if our commentators were a bit more like that Columbian fella I could be tempted to stay up

DD, did you miss Bz v Chile? The Dutch match wasn't bad either. If only the home nations could generate anything like that they might be worth watching and supporting.

Thm, yes, I saw most of Brazil v Chile and while it had drama, it wasn't anywhere near as entertaining as the earlier rounds. This is the least fluid Brazil side I can remember. Only Neymar has been worth watching. Their front line has been beyond shit otherwise.

Anyway, this game might pick up now that the team in the lead is down to ten men.

i was wondering earlier why their players were rolling around.. Seems the 10 men tactic was part of the plan. A bit naive from costa rica.

time for a red card for greece 🙂

I think the 1 goal scored in the whole tournament for greece says it all. 20minutes against 10 men and they cant muster up a shot.

Better off playing Dolly parton , at least she has a decent 2 upfront 🙂
