The spare room I use as an office is filling up with clutter. Since it's been raining all day here, I thought I could usefully clear out some junk.
I mainly found boxes. Big boxes, small boxes, medium boxes. Plain cardboard boxes and brightly coloured boxes. Under the spare bed, under the desk, on the shelves and wedged down the side of the wardrobe.
All empty. Except for some that were filled with... more boxes.
I seem to have kept the box from almost everything we've bought over the last 5 years, thinking "that'll come in useful some day".
It seems I am a boxaholic. Please tell me I'm not alone.
(Sheepishly raises hand)
Do they "bring you joy"?
I had to have a clearout of boxes last year as the collection was just getting too big. I do reuse them tho on occasion
Do they “bring you joy”?
I suppose they must have done in some sick way, before they got covered in dust & cat hair.
I'm thinking about trying to sell them as a job lot on Classifieds. But then I'd have to get more boxes to post them in.
I was persuaded to have a cleanse, moved house 12 months later and had to buy boxes.
If you have any spare boxers you could always keep a few boxes to keep your spare boxers in.
It's called 'boxing clever'
My attic is insulated with boxes!
I used to be like that. Realised it makes next to no difference to resale value a couple of years later so now I keep until I’m sure I won’t have to return it then recycle them.
Ok not the same , but still awesome.
P.S My attic also empty box central 😒
We keep nearly all our boxes so it helps if packing. Well thats what my mrs insists, despite us agreeing we would extend before we ever moved....... attic is full of them.
