Wife's iPad Air 3 appears to have died... It was still on iOS 13.5 until yesterday nagging to be updated, also lots / all apps would just close straight away. So tried a few times (she had tried in the past but it failed) and OTA update failed.
Decided to do a full reset / erase and try again, no luck.
Tried (multiple times) using iTunes and it failed again, now it only shows the restore screen.
After some googling I've just downloaded 3uTools and tried to flash it including using "Pro Flash" in FBU mode. No joy.
Been on to Apple support and they say to make an appointment & take it in, but are they likely to have any more joy or does it just sound dead? It's well out of warranty.
This is the fail message:
Cheers for any ideas.
bigger pic maybe?

With the caveat that I know nothing about fruit-based devices, that sounds to me like the storage is buggered.
I suspect you're right.
It's as if it can't write properly, if it wasn't already playing up before trying to update I'd feel more optimistic.
It's also got a crack straight across the screen.
