Fitting some new ceiling lights but existing wiring a bit tight and basically involves wearing the light as a hat while trying to screw very short leads into existing junction box. Any reason why these (or equivalent) can't be used to make the connection?
Obviously with the male side on the light fitting! Earth connection is separate and not bothered about current as the transformer is rated at 700mA max.
I'd use screw down connections. Put another screw in the ceiling or use the fittings brackets and tie the fitting to it with some string to give support whilst you make the connection
Cheers Craig - worked beautifully. All connectors tucked away inside Chocboxes and didn't even drop the lights.
(For info, the Apollo LED lights are on offer at Wickes at the moment, 3 or 4 7.5W lamps in flying saucer fittings.)
