Looking online for a bathroom at the moment - shower, sink & bog and there is a massive variation in prices.. I've been round B&Q and the likes and their quality seems pretty iffy and I'm thinking places like victoria plumb must be similar unless you start spending silly money.. Any recommendations on trusted brands that don't cost the earth and will last 20 years?

I've used them a couple of times after lots of hoofing round the competition.
I've used http://www.betterbathrooms.com or http://www.taps.co.uk seem to be the same company but varying prices. seem to be very similar to what b&q sell just a lot cheaper.
Cant say if they will last 20 years or not but I'm just putting in my second one (different houses) and they seem sturdy enough.
Sadly online is a bit hit and miss IME.
Your best bet might be local plumb / bathroom shop as they will most certainly give discount in the ballpark of online prices, and much easier to resolve any issues.
Ours was also great for planning and recommendations (esp if you can go there when it's less busy) and have time to look thru the catalogues...
