Been a long time since I've bought a computer....want to replace the ageing dell, half thinking about getting a network drive and some sort of mini laptop that can boot up fast for browsing and doesn't get too hot on the lap.
Use - uploading photos, and tweaking them a little. potentially the odd document, creating routes and uploading to strava, playing sufferfest when on the turbo. Not too strenous really. Would be nice to have a blueray / dvd player but not essentially.
Budget - not sure less than £400?
Anyone?

This is a Chromebook. They really are amazing.
However they work on the 'cloud' ie your stuff is stored on the internet and you work from there. For surfing, email and the occasional document they are astonishingly good.
However if you want to manage MP3s or videos, or need particular software, you could struggle. I dunno about sufferfest, but you can't play DVDs either.
