I mean "Metal". Big quote unquote.

Or like Trivium before he lost his voice.
Edit: Wikipedia says it's Metalcore. Whatever, make it angry.

Edit: *Rummages around for first Sevenfold album, weeps with nostalgia*.
ooh, I like music map.
hows about some meshuggah?
FFS He said "metal" people:
Lifer- The theme im getting for your current taste is relentless, technical fury.
Fitting my misanthropic mood perfectly. Cheers!
"Quote unquote" metal. If i wanted METAL I would've OP'd this>
Any excuse.
and this just makes me giggle I love black metal...tis soo silly but jolly in a hammer horror or carry on screaming kinda way 😀
Loving this, nevermind all that original request shite, just get the classics up 😛
Can't beat a bit of venom
Remember Akercocke Tazzy? That were good.
Thanks for High On Fire, definite win.
Remember Akercocke Tazzy?
yep always made me chuckle that Paul "I hate goths" Scanlan was one of the original guitarists in Goth band creaming jesus 😆
do have a soft spot for cradle of filth
I see your Soulfly and raise you
Tazzy, I've been wanting to have a proper grown up chat about in this "OFFENDED OFFENDED ON TWITTER!!!!" age how well a C.o.F. "Jesus is a *" t-shirt would go down now, as versus a decade ago.
Since that bloke got done for wearing, essentialy, a " the police" one.
Good call Cfinnimore
Oldie but goldie
I was given a copy of their first album by one of the guitarists of Akercocke, as he was going out with someone I knew at the time.
I never really got into them though.
If you want to waste even more of your time, in a pointless & entirely predictable moron-troll-fest, check it
Alternatively, the fist time this happened
Funny ol' BBC.
Saw Entombed supporting iirc Machine Head and they were brilliant.
Good choice Lifer, Every Time I Die are bloody awesome.
Tazzy. Nice one on the carcass bud. Love that album.
OP - have you tried Sylosis?
Try this app. 'Discover music'. Stick in the app search box, it's great, there is one for movies as well
Cheers Cap'n.
Always intrigued me how, for the most part, all this metalcore lot have scrawny milquetoast lads up-front, the sort who have just had a law built up to protect them from bigots, but then they open their gob and GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Good stuff.
Is it metal? Well I don't know but it's the only properly noisy thing I've heard recently that made an impression... Everything else just makes me want to go and listen to Burn My Eyes.
Also, Converge.
Yo Northwind, here's a thing.
I'll listen to Burn My Eyes whilst on the aforementioned virgin-run of the other post. Boosh!
How do you get the video up there and not just the link?
OK so it's hardcore not metal, I care not, heavy is heavy. Love the guitar in this.
"and it's obvious my angry adolescent days are done..."
heavy is heavy
Amen
not the band.
Been listening to loads of this recently:
Have you dabbled in Djent at all? Periphery's self titled debut and follow up albums are worth a listen.
allyharp, Gojira are fantastic, thanks for reminding me about them!
I can't recommend Baroness highly enough, especially the first 2 albums. Torche also are great. Like if Japandroids found sludge.
By the way, what did everyone make of the news about As I Lay dying? Weird thing to wake up to.
