Just rode down the beach for a swim, riding home happy as a pig in shit and turned onto a path wheel got stuck in gutter skidded and crashed hedfirst into big hard metal fence.
What a twonk ,... no helmet so massive bump thought I'd busted my back, lie there groaning. Mo later

Look on the bright side... at least you never broke your phone. And your typing thumb seems to be working. 🙂

Hope you heal soon.

Swim/bike/A&E is an unusual triathlon.

£5 to the skate kid, then hit the chip shop.

Some endo's are utterly pointless eh.

Thanks fellas 🙂
Been X-rayed, no breakages. Doc very concerned about my nut as badly bruised on the temple.
Think I'll live though
Probably never find the skater kid!

no helmet

You see, this is why they don't want disc brakes in the peloton.

Milk it a bit, at least 2 weeks off work. Spend the 2nd week cycling every day & wear a helmet!

Morning all! No head trauma, thankfully.
Fence railing shaped lumps on me ead.
Had been out on MTB Monday night and felt like I'd got my mojo back,
Then riding gravel bike on a smooth path and that happens.
Life eh?

My brother took th bike to his house, so not had chance to check it over. Might need new bars as the sti lever had rotated round. Wheels were ok

Glad to hear you are okay Dez. I've done similar to you if that helps. Mountain biking for years with just the odd comedy otb / off and usual collection of bruises, scratches and pedal bites. Started commuting to work three years ago and broke my arm in the first week!
