My Shimano MW7`s got full of water last weekend. They have spent all their time sat on top of a radiator since and are STILL wet!

Ive seen the PVC piping DIY jobs on here, but has anyone used something like this? Or can recommend similar?

Edit - Second question, if you have used one how long did you have to leave it on for to dry them out?

I have the Clas Olson boot dryer. It’s been faultless and will completely dry sopping wet boots in a couple of hours in heat mode, or overnight in fan-only setting.

One of those things you don’t realise you needed until you own one.

Hairdryer on high fan, cold air. Dries sodden cycling shoes / running shoes in ten mins each. Naturally but highly accelerated. Best way to prolong the life of them and make them not smell (heated dryers make them smell).

Must be on cold setting.

From a fortnight ago.

The ones we have at work are pretty gentle, if I submerge my winter boots and get them sodden then they take two goes on the timer (max 90 min) to dry out, it's not as hot as putting them on the radiator overnight (which is slower as there's no airflow).

They also have an ozone function to stop them going smelly which is nice (or may be a gimmick).

I just shove newspaper in them and put them in the airing cupboard. Remove the news paper after a few hours and leave overnight. They're normally bone dry come morning.

I store them with Boot Bananas, from Go Outdoors, in them, which seem to make a massive difference eg they no longer smell of rotting flesh which is a bonus...

I originally bought them as a silly stocking present for the wife, but they turned out to work wonders on sports shoes etc, so I then bought myself a set.

As per last thread I’ve got one of the ones TINAS’ work has.
Fully soaked boots can take a couple of goes to be properly dry but one 90 min cycle is enough to get them to ‘a bit damp’ if you are going straight back out in minging conditions.
Not convinced the ozone thing does anything but I use the dryer for work boots as well as cycling shoes and also for gloves on occasion and none of them have that horrendous ‘bottom of a ditch’ smell you get with cycling shoes sometimes if they are left wet to fester.

Another vote for the Clas Olson boot dryer here. Seems to be discontinued though. This one from Amazon looks very similar.

I've got the Clas Ohlson one too. Great bit of kit, with four outlet hoses and a glove drying rig. Sadly can't find any reference to them on their site though.
