Never done tubeless before but about to ride (this weekend) 2010 (non tubeless ready) Nobby Nics mounted on Sun Ringle tubeless rims (licenced Stans design) tubeless.

It'll be fine, won't it? 😯

You are a intelligent and handsome chap with enormous charisma and enough wit and charm to get you into any girls knickers.

...did that do the job? 😉

it'll be fine unless you're planning on riding over curbs, pebbles and other such hazards.

remember your fullface, body armour and flinstones plasters.

it could be a kids face next time.

I use NN on Stan's. I use non-UST and seal them up with the milk - watch the vids on notubes site - it a right faff but very satisfying. I have left these tyres for weeks without going flat, but do need a bit of air.

Never had a puncture since going tubeless, but have burped with instant deflation (I run low pressures).

Relax, it will be fine. (but carry 2 spare tubes with you, just in case....)

Boost your confidence by taking three spare inner tubes along on your ride.

That exactly what I've done - wheels/tyres have been in the shed inflated with no issues since Christmas. I'll be running at 30psi though.

Just worried about the instant deflation on the way down a rocky welsh descent...

Stans and normal tyres for the last 4 years here - I've burped tyres a couple of times, but never more than half deflation; pumped back up fine.

Rapid deflation on rocky descents for me is a lot less likely now because I don't snakebite any more.

I gave up on tubeless after a ripped sidewall and two complete burps. No point if you have to carry spare tubes everywhere and worry all the time. Must admit it felt nice though.

If your tyres are burping you are running too low a pressure.

MSP 30psi should be OK though on a tubless rim? (Stan says max 40psi anyhow...)

If it's holding air, seated properly and has sealant, then you will be fine unless running silly pressures.

not sure what ripped sidewall has to do with tubeless

30 is fine.

My problem is I havent recalibrated from motorbike trials, rear sometimes 4-6psi on technical rocky assents.

Afan this weekend is it?
