My turbo adapter is 142mm for 12mm bolt thru - could I get some cheap washers to fill the other 6mm (I assume) and then be able to use a boost frame.

3mm on either side, it'll probably flex that much.

Steel frame/expensive etc etc might dictate whether this is a good idea or not.

Frame is steel. So perhaps need a propitiatory adapter then

I'm certain I've seen lots of people comment online with steel frames that they just flex the frame to fit. I'm not saying it's the best solution but if it's not an expensive frame then I'm sure many people would do it, at least until they get the right adaptor... Or permanently. It's obviously a wheel off trainer, yeah?

Theres a long running Zwift thread on here that might be worth resurrecting and posting on too, lots of Zwifters on here.

Don't you just flip the nds adaptor round to make it 148mm. That's how it works w the jet-black volt. Think wahoo do a set of adaptors as well.
Robert axle project do lots of options to sort you out
Would be worried that just adding washers doesn't have structural integrity into the trainer, and also washers may not match the bike's dropouts
