A mate of mine is about to adopt. I want to get them a nice hardback book of ideas for adventures with kids. The kind of thing you would keep for a long time a tick stuff off. Has anyone got any recommendations?
I've got that book Matt, it is ace. I am after a kids equivalent. I like the idea of dad and new daughter going through the book together and ticking adventures off, the Micro Adventures book isn't really a kids book.
Jenny Tough has a book about adventurous females, not sure how age appropriate it would be.
Chapeau to your mate BTW. A few friends have adopted and its changed everyone's lives for the better. MrsMC has spent 25 years at the sharp end of children's services taking them into care, now she's switched to the adoption side and I never tire of hearing her talk about the new families, she's so much happier. Thankfully the number that go wrong are pretty low.
I don't know if there is one.
How about some of the 30 days wild activities? https://www.wildlifetrusts.org/30-days-wild-2021-sign-your-pack
I know it’s fiction but genuinely the Sallows and Amazon’s books are great and there are so many places you can go to or imagine are the locations that you can build your own adventures inspired by the stories.

Not personally read it, but it gets good reviews.
