American athlete John Kelly is currently attempting what is surely one of the most incredible endurance challenges of all time.
He is attempting to run all 3 of the UK 24hr hill running challenges back to back and ride his bike between them.
He is currently on his bike riding between Capel Curig and Keswick having already completed the Paddy Buckley round in Wales.
He's a good bit behind his schedule in part at least due to some challenging weather on the Paddy but to be honest schedules don't matter here as just completing this in any time will be an astronomical achievement. Whether he can do it or not remains to be seen but massive kudos for even trying.

It's so crazy it's worth 2 threads!
TBH it's so crazy that many people probably overlook it as it's so far outwith their experience.
I wonder how long he's resting between each leg? Looks like he's done run #1 and on the bike now!
He had scheduled about 3hrs 20 mins rest between PB and riding to Keswick but it looks like he took a bit more. He was about 5 hrs behind his schedule when he started riding this morning but the schedule was massively optimistic anyway. The weather is pretty poor for running in the hills and forecast to remain so.
I was heavily involved in Mike Hartley's completion of these three rounds in three consecutive days. He had car transport between the three locations. He started in Scotland and finished in Wales. Boy was he knackered at the end.
His aim was to run them all in under 24 hours each, which he achieved, but missed on on doing the whole thing inside 3 days because of the road journeys.
I wonder if he knows this is on? I'll send him the link.
