Had to switch the boiler off for a week as we were away and SGN were replacing the gas pipes in the street.
Came to switch it back on yesterday and it's showing a fan fault as it goes through it's startup routine.
Gas Safe SNG guy had a quick look to see if it had just stuck, but no resolution.
Engineer coming today to fault find.
So, could it be
1. The fan itself
2. Speed sensor PCB
3. Wiring harness
4. Main PCB
A new fan assembly is £200 + VAT for the part alone.
It's a 15+ year old boiler so I was partly accepting that there may be issues having it switched off for so long, but it's still bloody annoying!
