Having a little think about swapping cars and like the look of the X1.

Can anyone explain BMW model letters to me? What are the higher trim levels? which ones to avoid?

Also if anyone has or had an X1, what did you like or dislike about it.

thanks

My wife's X3 is an X-Line which sits between the SE and Sport.

Thought the X-Line was plush model to the M-Sport's performance look?

So:
SE.
Sport.
M-Sport/X-Line.

Then as above regarding 2 or 4wd.

Anyway, we test drove the 4wd M-Sport X1 and liked it very much although the last model X3 we had tested previously was much quieter and smoother. We actually had the paperwork in place to get the X1 but didn't complete for some reason I can't remember.

Ended up getting a Discovery Sport as on a PCP it was £50 cheaper a month and came with far more standard kit. As nice as we found the X1 the Disco is a much, much nicer vehicle.

There are four trim levels to choose from: SE, Sport, xLine and M Sport are available, although not every engine has every trim. Standard equipment on all cars includes an 8.8-inch display, sat nav, air-conditioning and alloy wheels, while Sport gives the X1 a racier appearance inside and out, adding larger wheels and sports seats. A highlight of the xLine is its leather seats, while the M Sport model gets an even sportier look, with aerodynamic bumpers, gloss-black exterior trim and adaptive LED lights with a cornering function, along with lots of other tweaks inside and out.
