My phone won't charge anymore, had it looked at and the charge port chip is cracked so not worth repairing it. Luckily I had backed it all up the other week so have all photos, videos, messages etc safe.

After backing up everything on Mrs G's phone, I am now using that one. It is only a few months old so should be ok for a while. This phone however does not have a 3.5mm jack plug for headphones. I will be needing headphones ready for when the kids go back to school so when I am on my own I can block everything out and gather my thoughts while listening to some music.

Which bluetooth/wireless headphones are recommended for me to look at? I know there have been some threads about headphones recently, but honestly haven't searched for them. Haven't got a budget in mind as yet, would rather get a decent set as they will be regularly used. Decent sound quality and comfort is preferred, and as long as the battery can do 6-8 hours minimum that would be great.

Thanks

I've just bought a set of Outlier 1's..absolutely superb and have a sound quality which is hardly bettered by in ear headphones costing 3-4 times as much ..please don't be put off by the price ..you truly will not be disappointed ...

https://uk.creative.com/p/headphones-headsets/creative-outlier-one

It doesn't seem to give the price there..£33.00 delivered ( £29.00 for the headphones themselves ) ..

I can almost see folks turning up their noses as being too cheap 😂

All I can say is your loss ...

I've just sent back my third and final pair of Bose Soundsport Wireless as they die the moment they get exposed to sweat. I'm one of many, and customer support has been 'challenging'; so don't buy a pair!

I have these for listening to lounge music, whilst chilling. Longest I’ve had them on is a couple of hours and they were comfy. Can usually leave them a couple of days while switched off and still get a few more hours use before needing to be charged.

Is it an apple phone? If so then a lightning to 3.5mm jack would allow you to use your existing phones

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Apple-Lightning-Headphone-Jack-Adapter-White/dp/B01LWAUW1P/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1534019104&sr=8-3&keywords=apple+lightning+to+jack+adapter

Can probably shop around for a cheaper alternative to the official apple one.

Another vote for the Creative outliers here, felt like good VFM and a decent sound (to my ears) and the battery life hits the mark for you too.

Thanks for the replies so far. Shows how much I am able to think straight, hadn't even thought about what sort of headphones! Just that I needed some.

Thanks for the offer of the converter lead. The phone is a huawei p20 Pro, so has an usb-c connection, not the lightning.

Another vote for the Outlier 1's. I bought them purely for use in the gym but they're so good I use them at home too instead of my rather more expensive Bose in-ears I was given for my birthday. Add in that I got them for £20 from Amazon and they are a proper bargain.

I might invest in a set of the outliers. It seems to be a general consensus. If I don't get on with in the ear I will look at the other suggestions.

Thankyou all again, genuinely appreciated.

I like the look of those Outlier's, what are they like for audio lag when watching films, anyone tried them for that?

Spending a lot more time on planes than I'd like these days and getting fed up with cable earbuds.

Thanks

None that I notice when watching Youtube etc on my phone, exactly the same as when using cabled headphones. Their only weakness I've found is that they can sometimes have a tiny bit of crackle every 20 secs or so in the gym when it's busy with other bluetooth headphone users, guessing it's interference in a confined space. Sorts itself out if I go to a quieter part of the gym out of range of everyone else though.

I'm using Marshall Majors.

Very comfy & sound great. Will last over 30 hours on a charge, so once a week will do.
